Ivana Kovalska (Artist) was born in the depths of Ukraine and raised in San Antonio, Texas. In choosing to write about mascara, she is able to talk about the origins of makeup
in Egyptian society and how it played into their culture and norms. Through this, she emphasizes the importance of inner confidence and self-acceptance. If she could have one
superpower, it would be to fly because, as she says, “Who wouldn’t want to fly.”
